1991 Vauxhall Brava 2.5 diesel 4x4
I bought this off a lady that had used it for moving
hay for her horses. The pickup bed was rotten but it didn't bother
me at the time, I just wanted it for my business I had just started,
any how there were wooden boards down for the bed so as long as
it could carry what did it matter
A friend one day asked "how would it go off
road with it being 4x4", I don't know, there's only one way
to find out. So I went off and had some 31-10.50-15 MT tyres fitted
and a week or so later off we went to find out. Surprisingly it
did really well, considering that it has a wheel base of about
120in and about 8in of ground clearance.

Holy Moor Side, down the steep bit no probs. |
| At the bottom was a different matter, it took some shunting
to get round the wall and between the tree without tipping
into the gully. |

Chapel Gate is a washed out road, the bit down the middle
is all thats left of the tarmac. At this point I'm stuck. |
| I backed down and came back a different track, although
it did put me on my side a little more than I anticipated. |

Stanage Edge, Total off Road magazine said "this is
the hardest road they had driven in Derbyshire and you need
a spotter", naaaaa!! |
| This lane has an odd sounding name, but every
body always calls it The Steps for obvious reasons. |
