1985 Chevrolet Blazer 2.8 4x4
This was the first American 4x4. I bought this back
in 96 and ran it till I broke a back spring in 2003 when off road
(green laning). The plan was to get this replaced and back on the
road, but the Land Rover was offered to me cheap, so I ran that
and not the chevy.
The spring has now been replaced and is now waiting
to get back on the lift to sort a transmission leak, the plan is
also to look at changing the suspension to live axle on the front
to make it better off road and more ground clearance.

This is Holy Moor Side lane, steep, rocky and
has a 90 right at the top and a 90 left at the bottom. There
is a stone wall to the left of you and a 4ft gully to the right. |
| This is at the top of scratchy lane(dont know
its proper name, but it leaves your motor covered in scratches).
someone tried to stop vehicles coming up the lane by putting
bolders at the top, so we just drove over them. |

The desert has lots of surprises, this is a gully
running down from the top of the rail embankment. |
| A bridge over the railway at the desert, not intended
for cars but we found it wide enough (my mirrors scraped the
sides). |

This is me when I found that the rear spring had
broken, I had to limp home with the spring strapped up. A journey
that would take 20-30 mins, took me just over 2hrs. |
| This picture doesn't show the angle, but its over
90 degrees, down hill and rocky, very slippery when wet. |

I just put this one in to show me squeezing through
the trees, we are talking tight. |
